    • Skin Youth Biome™ Vitamin C Vitamin C contributes to normal collagen formation for the normal function of skin and to the normal function of the immune system.

    What is the difference between Skin Youth Biome™ and Skin Clear Biome™

    While both formulas feature skin-friendly bacteria, they are distinctly different formulas. Skin Youth Biome™ fuses together four different bacteria strains with vitamin C. Inspired by the results of Skin Youth Biome™, our team embarked on a project to look at the underlying factors causing problem and stressed skin. The result is our patent-pending Skin Clear Biome™ formula with four new bacterial strains (lactobacillus paracasei, lactobacillus helveticus, bifidobacterium bifidum, saccharomyces boullardii) and zinc. Remember: diversity is at the core of beneficial bacteria, so our Head of Nutrition recommends using both Skin Clear Biome™ and Skin Youth Biome together.

    Are the bacteria strains in Skin Youth Biome™ different to the ones in Skin Clear Biome™

    Yes they are different. The strains in Skin Clear Biome™ are Lactobacillus paracasei, Lafti® L26 AF - Bifidobacterium bifidum, Rosell®-71 (R0071) - Lactobacillus helveticus, Lafti® L10 ND - Saccharomyces boulardii – and have all been selected to support gut, immunity, inflammation and excessive sebum, which are factors known to contribute flare-ups. We have also added zinc due to its multiple skin and wellness benefits – particularly helpful for problem skin. The strains in Skin Youth Biome™ are Lactobacillus Rhamnosus GG, Pediococcus Acidilactici HA-524, Bifidobacterium Longum Rosell-175, Lactobacillus Reuteri HA-188, Lactobacillus Acidophilus HA-122 and Lactobacillus Plantarum HA-119 - also chosen to support gut health and harness the gut-skin axis, plus vitamin C to support natural collagen formation for smooth, youthful-looking skin.

    Is it suitable for Vegans and Vegetarians

    Skin Youth Biome™ and Skin Clear Biome™ are suitable for vegetarians. This is not a vegan product because it may contain traces of dairy.

    How long can I take Skin Youth Biome™ for?

    There are no time limits for taking our Biomes - you can take Skin Youth Biome™ indefinitely. You can use Skin Clear Biome™ with Skin Youth Biome™ - remember the more diversity you can have with strains, the better it will be for your skin and your health.

    When is the best time of day to take Skin Youth Biome™?

    You can take Skin Youth Biome™ at any time of the day. The best is to take it with a meal (or 20 to 30 minutes before a meal) so that the food can act as a buffer, further protecting the probiotics from stomach acid. Do NOT mix it into a hot drink like coffee or tea as this will destroy the bacteria.

    What products are best to use alongside Skin Youth Biome™ to help with my ageing skin?

    We recommend combining Skin Youth Biome™ with Skin Ultimate and Skin Vitality for best results. Skin Youth Biome™ can be combined with any of our Daily Skin Health products too.

    Can you take Skin Clear Biome with Skin Accumax?

    Yes, these two products work synergistically together to support your skin goals.

    Is Skin Clear Biome safe to take when pregnant?

    Yes, it’s fine to take Skin Clear Biome when pregnant – there are no contraindications.

    How does taking Skin Clear Biome™ compare to eating live yoghurt?

    Most yoghurt undergoes a pasteurisation process which kills off the bacteria, so bacteria must be added back in. The amount in yoghurt will never match the 5 billion we have in a capsule. You should absolutely include fermented foods in your diet alongside taking the Skin Clear Biome™, again it comes back to diversity – the more different types of strains that you can have, the better.

    If i am on medication can I take Skin Clear Biome™?

    When using any medication – topical or oral – please consult your GP before taking Skin Clear Biome™.

    Where do you source the bacterial strains from and where are they cultivated?

    Our strains are sourced and cultivated from a specialist probiotic manufacturer. This company has been producing strains since 1923 and is one of the top innovators in the research and production of the microbiome.

    We offer FREE 1-2 WORKING DAYS delivery to anywhere in the UK on orders over £60 and when placed prior to 2pm Mon-Fri. Orders to remote parts of the UK, Ireland and overseas may take longer.

    Please note we are unable to deliver to PO Boxes in the UK. A full street address is required.

    PO Boxes may be acceptable for some international addresses, but please check with Customer Service before you place an order.

    Shipping on orders under £60 to UK cost £4.95.

    To make sure your products get to you in time, we send them recorded delivery via DHL Express, so someone will need to sign for them. Once your parcel has been dispatched we will email you with a tracking number so that you can check its status. We aim to deliver your products within 48 hours of placing an order if you’re in the UK. However, please note our warehouse is not open Sat-Sun so orders placed after 2pm on Friday or later will not be processed until the next working day.
